We were excited to see growth across the District of Columbia and proud that 澳门老人味鈥檚 students showed consistently strong performance on the PARCC assessment.

More students scoring 4s and 5s on the PARCC attend 澳门老人味 than any other charter system in the city.

Teachers and parents are incredibly proud of the skills and knowledge that 澳门老人味 students demonstrated on last year鈥檚 PARCC assessment,鈥 said Susan Schaeffler, founder and chief executive of 澳门老人味. 鈥淲e have bright students and hardworking teachers, and their efforts have led 澳门老人味 schools to be among the top performers in the District of Columbia. 聽With our school year already underway, our staff, students, and parents are recommitting to building upon our strengths, while reflecting and improving on our areas of growth.鈥

This is the third year that students in the District of Columbia have taken this Common Core-aligned assessment, which was designed to be far more challenging than our previous assessment (the DC CAS) and is aligned to 澳门老人味鈥檚 mission of preparing students for college and careers.

鈥淧ARCC has driven an important dialogue in D.C. about college and career readiness, and it is one of the many data points that we use on the road to college and self-sustaining careers,鈥 Schaeffler said. 鈥淎s we look to the 2017-18 school year, we鈥檙e excited to celebrate our students鈥 PARCC achievements and continue our focus on ensuring a more equitable future for聽补濒濒听Washington, D.C. students.鈥
